MAC Eye Shadow - Honey Lust

Hello everyone!

For Christmas I'd asked my Dad to get me two MAC eye shadows and this is one of them! After he'd had a heart attack over the price of them, I chose this one as it's a nice copper and neutral shade, which is just perfect for me. I'd actually seen this one in a MAC store, and hadn't bought it there and then, so I knew I liked it before buying it online. I picked it up from Debenhams at £13.

Ooh it's beautiful.

It's slightly shimmery too, which is something I like for both day and night wear, and it is a little bit matte as well. This was pretty good in my opinion as it means I don't have to put so much on for it to be opaque. It's really pigmented and the colour is nice and strong.

Considering this is only my second MAC product, I am really pleased with it. I'm even turning to the idea of buying a lot more of their eye shadows because they are just so good. Though they are quite expensive for the size, the quality cannot be faulted.

Carex Strawberry Laces Hand Gel

Hello everyone!

Bit of an unusual thing for me to review today, bit I just need to share this with people. The Carex Strawberry Laces Hand Gel, which is £1.45 in Superdrug for 50ml is perfect size for your pockets or handbag. It's got a nice little flip top for you to easily use and is a pretty nice colour too! Especially if you have kids!

Granted it does what it says. My hands feel cleaner and less sticky after using this and it's been really hand to use at work on the tills after something leaking comes through!

However the scent. It makes me want to gag. I love strawberry laces and have been known to eat many packets all at once, but this smells nothing like it. Even my Dad didn't like how it smelt. It's really strong and quite off-putting when you're trying to eat and it's all you can smell. Quite overpowering.

Other than that, it's not bad but I wouldn't buy it again. Have you tried this and what do you think of the unusual scent? Let me know! Have a great day and keep safe :)

Bumble And Bumble Surf Spray Review

Hello everyone!

I kept seeing this product all over blogs and YouTube last year, so I recently purchased it and have given it a go! I watched a few tutorials where it was used, and read some reviews about it before buying it, so I eventually decided I wanted it! This is the 50ml one from Look Fantastic, which you can pick up for £9.50.

I love the bottle and the little 'how to' that they give you. I've tried this on both dry and wet hair so I could test it out fully and chose to aim for a nice wavy look.

I didn't get that with the dry hair at all, and there wasn't really much of a difference with the wet hair attempt either. The product itself has an 'odd' scent to it, and it found it really sticky on my hands and my hair was just having none of it. I managed a little wave on one small portion of hair, but the rest just looked the same, albeit a bit tangled.

Not sold on this at all, so I'm going to leave it to the side for the time being and see if I can figure it out some more before trying it again!
