Fragrance Direct Haul | Beauty

Hello everyone!

As you already know, I am a very, very big lover of Fragrance Direct. Good brands and really good prices. If you've not yet taken a look at their site, you are missing out on some bargains! I couldn't resit the urge to look again the other day, and I purchased four things while on there. Four things for me is a pretty small shop for me off the site!

Dad greeted the postman and I was given this big package and then realized what it was! Inside were my goodies and thankfully the polishes hadn't broken, which I always worry about.

First is my ever faithful and all time fave perfume! My old bottle ran out the day before I got this one, so very happy with how fast it got to me! This is Playboy's Play It Rock, which I have been using for about three or four years. I love the smell and the bottle shape, so I use this every day. This cost £5.99.

I was also on the hunt for some black polishes for some nail art designs I have in mind, but my black sadly dried up a while ago. I couldn't quite tell what these two would look like when I chose them, but thankfully one was black, and the other is a chocolate/black colour - which I also don't own, so happy with this! On the right is Cutex Quick N Go in 700 Night Run. On the left is Maybelline MNY in #466. These were both 75p each.

Lastly is the main purchase which I included in a recent wishlist. I've seen this brand and some others in some 'get ready with me' videos and on some beauty blogs, so decided to find some of my own. These were the only ones on Fragrance Direct, so I decided to get them. These are the Tresemmé Volume Rollers, for £25.95. There are ten rollers and ten metal clips to secure them once you have rolled them up. The little carry case is perfect for travelling or just for home use. The carry case is plugged in and then switched on, so that after 10 minutes the rollers are heated and you then use them how you wish. I gave them a brief try and they did curl a little, but I hadn't used any styling spray like suggested, so will be trying this again soon!

Have you purchases anything off the site recently? If yes, let me know if you done a post on it too :) I love the site, so go check it out! Hope you're having a great day and keep safe :)

The Hobbit | Nerdfest

Hello everyone!

Today's post is different from the usual! You might be used to fashion and beauty posts accompanied with some life things mixed in, but not today! As you might see in the header for my blog, the last section is 'nerdfest.' This is my little nerdy part on the blog where I just geek out and have a fangirl moment. I have done a couple of posts for this section before, but this is about to get taken up a level.

So if you're not much of a fan of all things geeky or Hobbit/Lord of the Rings (LOTR) related, then you might want to leave now! If not, then keep on reading and divulge into this obsession with me!

If you've followed me for a while, you will know how much I love the LOTR movies and now the amazing Hobbit films. LOTR has been watched to death and the two current Hobbit films are just refueling my love for the story. I spotted a Legolas figure while in The Works the other day and my sister kindly purchased him for me as a thank you for driving her places.

He's a nice little £2.99 in store right now in their sale, so she bought him and here he is! Legolas is my favourite Elf in the LOTR, and though he isn't actually in the Hobbit books, he was included in the films which I didn't mind! I think it was by fan demand actually.

The figure doesn't look a lot like Orlando Bloom who plays the Elf, but there is enough resemblance to get by with!

He comes with a bow and sword, plus a quiver that has a few arrows and a dagger inside! After I assembled him with his gear, he was placed on my nerd shelf! Legolas is about the size of my hand, so quite decent.

Then a few days later we wandered into town again and into the Entertainer. They had a sale on, so I set my Dad the task of finding me the figures in case they had some, and they did! The choices were: Bilbo & Gollum, Balin & Dwalin or Fili & Kili. Dilemma. Well as you can see from below, Fili and Kili won as they are my fave duo in the Hobbit films and the actors that play them are oh-so good looking. They were £6.50 after being reduced from £13.

Above: Kili, who doesn't look much like Aidan Turner. Little Kili came with a war hammer and bow, and the quiver is already attached to him.

Above: Fili, who again looks not a lot like Dean O'Gorman who plays him in the films! Fili comes with two swords/daggers!

And here they are both equipped for battle. I don't mind that they don't look exactly like the actors, as the rest of the figures are perfect to how they looked in the movies. I'd like to have got these in the same size as Legolas, but these were all that they had! These are the size of my palm, so small enough to go on the nerd shelf alongside Legolas!

Hope you enjoyed this even if it isn't something you normally read or expect on my blog! Hope you're having a great day and keep safe :)

Bowling, Shopping, Food | My Life

Hello everyone!

Even though I will probably make a video at some point on what I got up to on Tuesday, I feel my blog explains things better! Due to it being half term right now in the UK, my sister has a week off college so my Dad booked the week as holiday off work so we could all do things. The storm here has hindered that a little, but we still went out on Tuesday for some fun!

Warning: This is probably going to be a long post, full of pictures and random ramblings!

First we went bowling.

The Hollywood Bowl center and some balls!
Public selfies! I love the one of all three of us :)
My two bowling buddies! For some reason, my sister is extra tanned and Dad looks like Caspar attacked him!
Casual action shots of us all having our turns!
Game scores

Next we had a wander around the local market, which sucked basically. It used to be so good when I was a kid, but sadly it is really just a lot of junk and food on offer now. From there we headed to Homebase for a shower hose thingy and then had a wander around Smyths toy store!

The Market | My sister, the public bather | Avenging in Smyths!
Last stop for the day was to go and get some late lunch and early dinner. Choosing Notcutt's Fayre & Square pub, we headed there and managed to get a seat during rush hour!

Mine: Sausages, Mash, Peas & Yorkshires | Sister's: Cheese & Onion Baguette | Dad's: Steak & Ale Pie, Mash & Peas
Mine: Strawberry Shortcake Sundae | Sister's : Profiteroles| Dad's: Millions Shortcake Sundae

Well that was Tuesday in a nutshell! I've not done a blog post this long for a very long time, so I hope you made it to the end and didn't get too bored. It was nice spending the day with my dad and sister, and we had a lot of fun! If I feel like it, I'll make a video from all the clips I filmed that day too :)

Hope you're having a great day and keep safe :)
