Monthly Favourites #5 - August

Hello everyone!

It's time for another monthly faves! I'm still going with my method of keeping away from beauty things and do the little categories I've chosen below!!

Song

I got this song just before I went on my holiday to Cornwall, and I ended up having this on repeat for almost the full 2 weeks! I love these girls and this song is so catchy!! I've been loving it so much this month!

Picture

My favourite picture from this month has to be this one of Padstow Harbour looking over to the rock! This was while we were on holiday and the sun was so bright that day that the water looked so clear!!

TV Show

The Good Wife has been my fave thing to watch this month. I discovered it on Netflix a few days before my holiday, and I've been addicted to it ever since. I'm halfway into the third season already, and I'm hooked. Also, CARY AGOS. Yum.

Movie

I went to see the new re-boot of the Fantasic 4 a few weeks back, and I actually really liked it. It seems to have been given really bad reviews, and though it took ages for any action to happen, when it did, it was good. The graphics were amazing, and the cast were decent. HOWEVER, nothing will ever be as good as the one when my love Chris Evans starred in!!

Superdrug Mixed Berry Body Spritz | Review

Hello everyone!

This will be a short post of sorts as there is not much to say about this products other than that I love it! Strawberry and Raspberry is a summer scent that I purchased during my Cornwall holiday and have only just got round to trying it out for the first time! Coming in at £1.99 from Superdrug, for a 100ml bottle, this handbag size product is perfect for a quick pick me up scent through the day.

And yes it really does smell like strawberries and raspberries. I sometimes even use it to just spritz around the house for a nice scent - do not use on furniture! I've used this a few times in the past week and now my holiday is over, it's a nice scent to remind me on Cornwall. I'm thinking that I might just use this now and again and then over the year and try and save some for next summer.

This appears to be the only one in the range, so I'm hoping they bring out some more soon.  Have you tried this before and what did you think of it? Let me know! Hope you have a great day and keep safe :)

Herbal Essences Clearly Naked Dry Shampoo | Review

Hello everyone!

I've been trying out some new dry shampoos recently as a 'pick me up' while staying at the boyfriend's house. This Herbal Essences Clearly Naked Dry Shampoo is for all hair types and is meant to absorb any excess oils. This is the 180ml version and retails at £2.99 in Boots. 

It has natural tapioca in it, and though there is a scent, it's not strong at all and doesn't last long either. The nozzle is a standard spray device and allows a decent amount of product to come out. I found that I needed about ten or so sprays of this for my hair to look good again - any more and it still works well, but I find my hair to be a little heavier and flat looking. It also takes some working into the hair to actually work.

It's good for a quick root blaster, but I can't use it as often as I'd like as I didn't find it worked too well on my hair. Though it looked somewhat cleaner and fresher, it also looked like I'd whacked a load of gel on my head and worked that it at the same time. I'm not a massive fan on this, even though it works a little bit. I won't buy it again!
