MUA Skin Define Hydro Foundation | Ivory

Over the past few months, I've been trying out new foundations as my lovely summer tan finally faded in February and my foundation was making me look like an Oompa Loompa. Alas, I discovered the wonder of MUA's Hydro foundation! MUA is a pretty cheap makeup brand with awesome products and really good prices. I have a few things from them, and I've loved them all.

I picked up the foundation in the Ivory tone, as it seemed to be one of the lighter of the shades on offer (there are 6), and all are for light skin tones only, so not much variety. This retails at £4 for a 35ml squeezey tube.

I prefer foundations with a pump, but this is still easy to use and it doesn't come running out of the tube as it's got a good consistency to it.

The Ivory colour is a light beige shade, with orange undertones to it. It's a very light weight product, and honestly feels like you're putting a tinted water all over your face - which is really refreshing! It doesn't feel like you're wearing it at all, and gives a pretty decent coverage.

It's pretty good for wearing if you're going for a no-makeup look - or if you're working out, this would be a good option as it's light enough that you won't sweat it off in runny orange streak down your face!

It blends really nicely and is something I've now bought a couple of times as I've used it so often! I tend to wear this to work as it's quick to use and doesn't rub off onto my white deli jacket through the day.

Have you tried this before, or used MUA before? Let me know! Hope you have a great day and keep safe :)

Shaaanxo Palette Review

Back in mid-April, Shaaanxo, a beauty YouTuber, released a double sided makeup palette with BH Cosmetics! The palette currently retails for $14.50 (on sale!) and features 9 eye shadows, plus 9 lipsticks in a palette that is a double sided/flip design! Very compact and space saving!

Each side also has it's own mirror, so you can easily apply them on the go for touch ups, if needed.

The eye shadows are stunning and I would wear and use each of theses - except the orange/beige shade that is first in the second row. The rest are all really good for smokey eye looks or for just a pretty shimmer. Like most BH Cosmetic products, the shadows are really pigmented so you can get really good looks with these! I'd like to try these with a primer to see if they're any stronger, but I'm happy as they are!

I love the lipstick shades - they are really pretty colours and perfect for a variety of looks. Each is really pigmented and can be built up to make the colour stronger if you desire. The only issue I had is that the bright pink lipstick was really gloopy when I swatched it, so I think it will run out the fastest. I'm not sure if this is an issue with just mine or everyone's but I was a little disappointed in this! I love the bottom right shade, as I'm really into dark lip shades.

If you want to see more of the palette and the swatches, check out my video below!

Have you tried this palette before? Let me know what you thought of it! Hope you have a great day and keep safe :)

Monthly Favourites #15 - June

It's that time of the month where I look back and share some of my fave things with you! Ranging from songs, TV and movies, to whatever lies in the random section!

Song
I am still obsessed with Fifth Harmony, and their new album 7/27 came out on last month and it's AMAZING. This song is their newest single that's been released in the USA, while here in England, we seem to be a few behind! I like the video too and has a super summer vibe to it!

Picture
My favourite picture from this month has to be this one of the lid off my 'Fruitopolis' yoghurt! I had this as a quick snack the other week, and when I peeled the lid off, this is what was left staring at me! Had to have a little giggle at it!

TV Show
I have been waiting for OITNB season 4 since last year, and it finally got released on the 17th - all 13 episodes went straight on Netflix! I was so happy the whole thing went up so quickly and I was able to watch it all by bed time on the 18th! I blitzed it!
It was a very powerful episode, focusing on mental health, racism and the Black Lives Matter movement - something I am really happy to see being shown in such a popular and diverse TV show. The whole season was incredible, and totally heart wrenching if you've seen the last 2 episodes. I was bawling like a baby by the end.

Movie
Having loved the first movie of the TMNT movies, this one was a must-see for me. And because Amell is in it - which is reason enough for anyone who loves him in Arrow! The film had lots of laughs, action scenes and a pretty good storyline! Hope there's a third one!

Random Section
So for the random section, I've gone with this image of my Bullet Journal 'Money Planning' page. It's a little way for me to track the things I'd like to save up for - and how much I want to save for each thing. The final totals and 'ideal' amount to save for each thing is just a rough number, but it's given me an idea of what I want to save for first and what can be done later!

Hope you enjoyed these faves for June! What have you loved this month from each category? Let me know! Hope you have a great day and keep safe!
