June Wishlist & Where I've Been!

So you may have noticed that since the start of April, I've pretty much gone missing from my blog. Other than some collaboration posts, I took two months away from here and boy, did I need it. I'd ran out of steam, and there were a variety of things happening in my life that needed more focus that this slice of internet.

So what's happened since my Spending Ban post? That was my last non-collaboration post from the start of April.

Since that post, I sadly lost my Aunt at the start of May, and had her funeral last weekend, which was probably the worst one I've been to since my Nan's, 10 years ago. I'm no longer with my boyfriend either, so I'm flying solo for the time being!  I've also been having some mental health issues, which my Doctor thinks is down to the combination of meds I'm on for my Hemiplegic Migraines - which is a lot! Some of them act as a 'downer' when taken together, and then another is an anti-depressant 'upper', so I'm sort of all over the place these days. It's not easy to perk up and write a blog post when I feel like I'm having to act happy all the time, so I took a very much needed break.

My first proper post was my Harry Potter tour post from last week, and then this week I finally done a new post from my Orlando holiday! I won't promise that it's back to business as usual, but I've missed blogging, so going to try and do this month and see how it goes.

ANYWAY, onto today's fancy post which is my current wishlist!

What have you been up to the last few months? And do you like any of my wishlist items? Let me know! Hope you have a great day and keep safe :)

Orlando Holiday Diary: Day 13 - Animal Kingdom & Fireworks!

Another day, another Disney Park!

We headed back to Animal Kingdom for the day, as we had missed seeing the Lion King show - and we really wanted to see it! We got to the park really early to see if we could get on either of the Pandora rides, but both were near 5 hours long... So skipped that!

To pass the hour before the show started, we headed to Africa to look at the shops, and saw this talented bunch performing some music along the walkway. I loved the sound of it, so we stopped and watched for a while, before going to buy a few goodies!

The Lion King show was really good - we were in the Warthog section! I was singing along to the whole thing!

After, we had a fast pass for DINOSAUR again. Me and my sister were so scared the first time, we hardly saw any of the ride - but this time, I managed to keep my eyes open for long enough to see a majority of it, even though that huge one at the end made me scream, haha!

We then had another drive through the safari, before calling it a day and going to get some dinner at a nearby Ponderosa. I really recommend this place to eat for outside of the parks. The one on 192 East has a souvenir shop next to it, so we ended up in there for an hour and bought far too much.

We then relaxed at the villa for a few hours before going to the Happily Ever After fireworks show at the Magic Kingdom.

I really underestimated how busy it was going to get! We got there over an hour before it started, and the places to view it were quite empty, so I suggested we went on the Carousel of Progress before finding a spot. How naive of me! By the time we went to get a viewing spot, it was SUPER busy.

We ended up along Main Street, but near the Tomorrowland entrance. We still saw the whole thing, but the castle was a little obscured!

Before heading home, I dragged the family over to Big Thunder Mountain for a ride in the dark, before leaving the park at 10:30pm. We finally got back to the car park at about 11:30pm, and arrived back to the villa, just after midnight!

Oh boy, was it busy! I've never felt more claustrophobic in my life! There were so many strollers, wheelchairs, and mobility scooters, that I was hit and had my foot ran over about 10 times in the space of 30 seconds.

Next time I'll just watch from the train station!

If you've been to the fireworks before, what's a good time to get there, and where should we stand? Let me know! Hope you have a great day and keep safe :)

Are You Suffering From a Lack of Confidence?*

We all suffer from a lack of confidence now and again. It only takes a certain event or situation to trigger these sorts of feelings. However, if this low self-esteem doesn’t seem to disappear, it can become a problem. A lack of self-confidence can stop you from living the life you have always dreamed about. With that in mind, read on to discover some signs that you are suffering from a lack of self-confidence.
You compare yourself to other people all of the time – One clear sign that you have issues with your confidence is if you are always comparing yourself to other people. Do you constantly compare the way you look to others? Do you pay more attention to people you believe to be more successful than you? All you are doing is allowing your self-worth to plummet by doing this. Stop focusing on the good in other people can concentrate on the amazing things about yourself.
You cannot handle genuine compliments – Do you reflect whenever someone pays you a genuine compliment? People that are confident will accept the compliment graciously. Try accepting compliments going forward.
You are constantly worried about a specific personality trait or a certain part of your appearance – Often, a lack of confidence comes from one source. You may hate your teeth, for example, or you may worry that people think you are too shy. This can cause people to retreat and become ever more self-conscious. The truth is, the only person that is worried about these things is you! If you really are suffering due to one specific thing, why not change it? You can have your teeth whitened, or you can have your teeth straightened with Invisalign clear braces. If you are worried that you are too shy, put yourself in situations where you need to meet new people. For example, join a local club.
You are afraid to offer your opinion in a discussion – Do you get scared to give your opinion during a conversation because you are worried about what other people will think? Stop over-thinking. Focus on your breath and never be afraid to say what you think. We all have different opinions and that is what makes the world such an interesting place.
You check your phone when in a social situation on your own – Last but not least, a lot of people with a lack of confidence check their phone when they are alone in a social situation. They do this so they come across more socially connected and so that no one thinks they are by themselves.
If any of the signs mentioned above sound familiar, you are likely suffering from a lack of confidence. This is something that you need to work on so that you can start loving yourself more and living life to the fullest.
