6 Important Rules to Remember When Shopping for New Clothing*

When shopping for new clothing, it is important to remember a few fundamental rules. By following these simple guidelines, you can avoid making costly mistakes and find pieces that will flatter your figure and suit your style. Here are six of the most important rules to keep in mind.

Know your body type and shop for clothes that complement it

If you are unsure what your body type is, ask a friend or family member for their honest opinion. Once you know your body shape, you can begin shopping for clothes that will flatter your figure. Avoid baggy or ill-fitting clothing, as these can make you look larger than you actually are. Instead, opt for well-tailored pieces in fabrics that drape nicely. If you are pear-shaped, for example, look for tops with ruching or embellishments around the neckline to draw attention up toward your face.

Consider the quality of the clothing.

When you are looking for new clothing, it is important to consider the quality of the items. Not all clothing is created equal, and you will want to ensure that you get items that will last. Look for items that are made from high-quality materials and that are well-constructed. Avoid items that look like they will fall apart after a few wears.

When making your purchase, think about how often you will wear the item of clothing. If you are only going to wear it once or twice, it may not be worth the price tag. However, if you know you will get a lot of use out of an item, it may be worth spending a bit more.

Don't be afraid to experiment with different styles

Just because you have always worn one type of clothing doesn't mean you can't experiment with different styles. Trying new things can be fun, and you may be surprised at how much you like a particular style of clothing. Don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone when shopping for new clothes.

When in doubt, go with black or another neutral color

If you are unsure about what color to choose for an item of clothing, black or another neutral color is usually a safe bet. These colors can be paired with almost anything and are flatter on most body types. If you do want to experiment with color, start with small items like scarves or jewelry. Once you get more comfortable with wearing brighter colors, you can move on to larger pieces like dresses or tops.

Make sure to accessorize your outfits

One of the easiest ways to take an outfit from ordinary to extraordinary is by adding some stylish accessories. A great timepiece or a cuban link chain can really dress up a simple outfit. If you are wearing a lot of black, consider adding brightly colored shoes or a scarf to add a pop of color.

Shop for clothing that fits well and makes you feel comfortable

The most important rule to remember when shopping for new clothing is to choose items that fit well and make you feel comfortable. Don't buy something just because it is trendy or on sale if it doesn't fit properly. Clothing that is too tight or too loose will be uncomfortable to wear and won't look good on you. Instead, focus on finding clothes that fit your body well and make you feel confident when you wear them.

Following these simple rules, you can buy new clothing confidently. Keep these guidelines in mind the next time you look for new clothes and you will find pieces you love.

How To Make Driving Fun Once Again*

There is so much to enjoy about driving - the feeling of freedom and independence, being able to travel where you want, whenever you want, having your choice of music playing, and the sensation of the wind rushing in through the sunroof open windows.

Except, it's not always like that, far from it. Even if you like driving, it isn't always a journey of enjoyment. It may be dull and repetitive, and all of the joy can be drained out when you commute to and from work every day. However, as long as you remember that it can be a fun and delightful activity, you can make it fun and enjoyable again - you only need to mix up a couple of your driving habits and be a little creative. Here are some tried and true strategies for making your driving experience a little bit more exciting when it seems dull.

Take A Road Trip

Most of the excursions we take in our car are completely practical and required - the commute to work, the school run, dropping the kids off at play dates and sports groups, doing the supermarket shopping. If you are only utilising your automobile for these things, it pulls the car away from being something laced with joy and excitement to just another functional and useful addition to our lives. Sometimes, taking a journey centred totally on happy times is pleasant. Nothing will help you fall in love with your vehicle more than an excellent road trip. Plan a gorgeous route, pack up the car, and set out for a few days of pure pleasure driving.

Change the car

We may blame the commute and the other cars on the road. We might blame the routine tasks we do in our car, but occasionally, it can be the car itself. If we are driving around in a car that we don't adore. There is little wonder that we are not enjoying the experience. The most apparent approach is to hunt for a new automobile that is not only functional but entertaining to drive from Edmunds. If you are not in the position to buy a new car, treat your old one to a complete valet, and some new accessories such as chrome alloys, new car mats, and, if you haven't already had one, a great sound system. You'll find driving to be considerably more pleasurable if you appreciate the car that you're driving about in.

Switch up the commute

One of the biggest things we complain about is getting trapped in traffic. Even the greatest automobile in the world won't be much fun if you are sitting in bumper to bumper traffic, day in, day out. If the commute is making you down, look at shaking things up, and take a new route. Even if it takes a bit longer, it will be worth it if you are no longer dreading the ride.

What are your top tips for making driving a fun and exciting experience once again?

5 Things I Love About Summer

Summer officially rolled around on June 21st, and I'm already feeling the change of seasons with the heatwave we've been having for the last week or so. This season is my sometimes of of my favourites when the sun isn't trying to take me down, so I wanted to share what I love about Summer time.
  1. Tan time
    • I'm not outside to often because of work, but this sunshine is so good at the start of summer and I can get a little tan going on if I sit outside for a while
  2. Days out with the family
    • We have the idea of going to Chessington still - got a little delayed because of my injury! - and it means getting out the house and being active
  3. Clothing choices
    • I am so excited to get back into my summer dresses, shorts and not wearing thick clothes all the time
  4. Everyone seems happier
    • Customers at work are a little more chatty and polite!! The sun really brings out the good side of people sometimes
  5. Movie releases
    • Jurassic World's latest movie recently came out, we have a new Thor film coming out soon, and SO MANY MORE!!

What are you favourite things about summer time? Let me know! Hope you have a great day and keep safe :)

May 2022 Extra Income Report

I love being able to earn extra pennies on the side, as well as form my main job income. I use survey sites, blog posts on this blog of mine, scanning receipts, and selling items via Depop and Facebook Marketplace. Some month I don't even make £10 extra, whereas other months, it can be up to £90 - it all depends on how hard I hustle as the month goes along.

So here is my overview for the last 30 days!

Qmee Surveys: £7
Blog Collaborations: £30

This has been a great month for side hustle income! Thank you to everyone who used my Chase Referral code this month, that's helped so much with my extra income goal!

If you're interested in earning a little extra with some surveys each month, I have this Qmee referral code for you to use! >QMEE CODE < With this code link, you get 50p and so do I, when you first cash out via PayPal or gift card. The reason I love Qmee, is that you can cash out with as little as 1p in your account.
