In a recent post, I explained what the #BloggersDoItBetter challenge was and how it would work. If you've not read that, go check it out! The topic we've been given by Gemma for the first post is Spring. I decided on nail art design for this topic and here is what I came up with!
I decided to use 'spring' flowers - daisies and sunflowers! I picked out a few polishes, trying to keep them as minimal as possible and used a dotting tool for this (which I forgot to photograph!)
(Way to go with the camera skills here) I used Maybellie Mino Colorama in Sky Blue, Rimmel Fancy A Dip, Constance Carroll Neon Green, Collection 2000 White Tip and Rimmel Sunshine - there was also a brown polish I used by Rimmel, but it got damaged and thrown out before I thought to take this picture!
I used my nail wheel for this! I painted three of the nails with the Fancy A Dip polish as it is a little darker than the Sky Blue one, which is on the other two nails.
Using the dotting tool, I dotted one or two dots on the darker blue and then surrounded them with white dots, or dotted and dragged the polish to make longer white petals.
On the remaining two nails, I then dotted a circle of brown polish before letting it dry. Afterwards I added dragged dots of yellow with the dotting tool, and made smaller dots on the brown to represent the seeds! Finally, I used a dotting tool to drag the green polish towards to the tip to create the stem!
This was an idea I had all of a sudden when I saw the topic idea, and this is the fist time I've ever done this design so it is a little messy, but it turned out a lot better than I thought it would! What do you think of the design? Is it more spring or summer, I can't decided! Hope you enjoyed the first #BloggersDoItBetter challenge post! Have a great day and keep safe :)
