Beautiful Avenger 1st Blog Birthday!

Hello everyone!

So today, October 3rd, is the one year anniversary of my blog! Yes, I used this blog before then for sporadic posts like once a month (or less), but this day is when it all started and I actually utilized this place on the internet to use my voice for good. Or just for pure babbling! The post that I kicked this journey off with was: 'Tania Does Downton' - in which I blogged along to an episode of Downton Abbey and got really into it. The next two days after that post, is when the fashion and beauty posts started and it's not stopped since!

Also back then, my blog was simply named 'Tania's World' before I changed it to 'Tania Pryer' in the November. Inventive I know. The blog name of Beautiful Avenger came about at the end of January this year - Name Games - I've loved this new name for a while since then and Then I changed it yesterday! Here are all the banners I've had since October 3rd, 2013!

Pretty sure I had some others before this but they don't appear to be anywhere! I definitely think the current one is the best as it's not too plain or fussy!

Collection Extreme Coloured Lengthening Mascara | Review

Hello everyone!

It is no secret that I have an obsession with mascaras. Thanks to some wonderful DNA from the parents, I'm gifted with long and dense lashes naturally, but I love to make them look a little blacker with mascara. For years I was religiously using a Miss Sporty one, but I've since branched out and have far too many mascaras! The Collection Extreme Coloured Lengthening Mascara, is a recent find and I love it. Compared to much more pricey ones, I've found this to be a gem.

I cannot find a single thing wrong with this. I love it. It's now in fact my new fave and the one I will recommend at the drop of a hat to everyone. Including you lovely readers! The spoolie is in such a great shape that it coats all my lashes, even the little pesky ones near my tear ducts. It does make my eyelashes look longer and darker - which is what I wanted.

For £2.99 this is a godsend and I highly recommend it for everyone, whether you are new to makeup or looking for a change. I love this! I am going to buy a few more so I have a stock of them just in case Collection stop them like a load of my other fave products of theirs!

New Blog Name!

Hello everyone!

Friday is my one year blog birthday and I've been after a change for a while. I literally change my mind about my blog once a week at least! I changed the name from 'Tania Pryer' to Beautiful Avenger' in January/February, but I've grown apart from the name. It's not personal anymore and doesn't make much sense at times, so I've decided to change the name up. Again.

Sorry.

As of today and onwards I'm going somewhat back to my roots with this blog and making it more personal.

Going back to what I loved the most about blogging and the posts I enjoyed the most, this blog will now be primarily beauty and lifestyle. I love fashion, but I don't feel my fashion posts are my best, so those will only feature now and again. As for the 'nerdfest' section of my blog - trust me it is still going to be here but under the lifestyle portion!

I hope this isn't too much of a change, and I'm going to be changing my twitter, instagram and other accounts to this soon, so hopefully it won't confuse you all when that happens!

Boots Tea Tree & Witch Hazel Spot Wand | Review

Hello everyone!

Another purchase from Boots a while has been the Tea Tree & Witch Hazel Spot Wand. I'm not prone to spots on breakout - thank you DNA! - and rarely have to worry about a spot appearing. However, once in a blue moon a little spot will appear somewhere on my face and I want it gone. I saw this little beauty for £3.59 in Boots on a trip weeks ago and decided to pick it up. I was actually praying for a spot to appear just so I could use this - and then one popped up!

There are two tubes for this product with different uses and purposes. The 'day' end of the stick is a clear gel like liquid that you dab onto the spot once/twice a day and then gently rub it in until most of the product is absorbed. The 'night' end it a white/green colour and is thicker. This you apply to the spot in small dabs and leave it to work it's magic while you sleep.

I only had to use this for three days in total as the spot vanished pretty quickly. I love the scent of tea tree oil so that didn't bother me at all, though I know the scent isn't for everyone! It was easy to apply and use, and I believe it did help the spot to go. My reason being that usually when I get a spot, it lingers for a week normally before going. This was a weekend job only, which I was pretty happy with!
