The Memory Box | Part 1

Hello everyone!

The other day during a mass bedroom clean, I found my old memory box! It used to be all in an old camera box, but I've since bought a nice one from the Range and while sorting through it all, I took pictures of everything. Here's the first part of three installments of my memory lane trip!

Hope you enjoy this as there is a lot of things within! Be prepared for lots of pictures!

First up, the amazing memory box! I've since gone and bought a second one as this is now full up!

Left: Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat musical program. We went to see this in York in 2001 I believe! I remember loving it and even now, it is still one of my faves.
Right: After a holiday to Great Yarmouth with some family friends, I made this booklet of some of the funny pictures from the trip!

Left: When I left my Junior School in June/July 2004, all of our year group received one of these.
Right: Abbie's note that was in my first ever box swap!

Left: Photobooth stickers! I remember being 13 and seeing these machines in Tammy and spending almost £50 in one month on them with my friends! I used them all up, however while on holiday in Cornwall, my family and our friends found one, and we use it each year! These are from 2007 and onwards!
Right: My 21st birthday badge off the card Dad gave me, and some of the confetti I managed to keep hold of!

Left: Memory sticks - Take a popsicle stick and write a memory on each side of it! I haven't made any more since about 2005, but there are some pretty good ones on these!
Right: My first tax disc!

Left: When my cousin Shannon was Christened, her mum (my aunt) bought all four of her nieces one of these necklaces.
Right: The little silver pendant. I've never worn it as I'm scared I'll break it!

Left: My 2nd birthday present! Mum and Dad got this book printed for me! It's a story about how on my birthday I have to go on a quest to find my birthday stone which was stolen by a dragon so I can help some fairies restore the rainbow!
Right: My legoland medal from our first trip there. The green frog on the far right is very special to me. While waiting in the line to go into Windsor Castle, a husband and wife couple from China were in front of us and had been talking to Mum & Dad. My sister was asleep in her pram and I was about 6 years old, so they had spoken to the parents and me for a second, before the woman reached into her purse and pulled this out. She asked Mum if she could give this to me and then take a picture of me, as she'd not seen 'such a pretty girl with green eyes' before as back in their country, their eyes are darker. Mum agree, and I've kept this ever since. That amazing woman is the reason why I've never had many body/appearance issues.

Left: A thank you message, a wedding favour and the wedding invite for Simon & Sarah's wedding!
Right: This is the wrist band that was on me the day I was born! Never got rid of it!

Left: A plethora of cinema tickets. (Top let to the bottom: Depsicable Me 2, Deathly Hallows Part 2, Johnny English 2, Iron Man 3, The Hunger Games, Journey to Mysterious Island 2, Mamma Mia!)
Right: A range of the train tickets I've got from 2011 to 2013!

Hope you liked this first part of my memory box! Do you have a memory box at all? Hope you have a great day and keep safe :)

  1. I keep a memory box too and I love to look through it. I keep letters from people in there from the times when people actually sent letters, pictures and other keepsakes that don't really have a place anywhere else. Since my Mum died I've also started a photograph album and I'm trying to collect pictures of her life - it's so strange seeing her when she's my age and younger! I'll look forward to seeing the rest of this series!
