Things To Do By 2015

Hello everyone!

Like last year, the coming new year is approaching fast and I have a list of things I'd like to get done or achieve before then! Last year there were 25 things, so lets see if I can keep it below that!

  1. Finish Zoella's book 'Girl Online'
  2. Reach 450 bloglovin readers
  3. Re-tax my car
  4. Sort out 40 issues of my Marvel factfiles into the correct folders
  5. Finish Christmas shopping
  6. See my little group of friends at least once more before Christmas/New Year's
  7. Try to go on a spending ban
  8. Try and persuade my manager to let me keep my full time hours at work once Christmas is over
  9. Clean out clothes, shoes and bags
  10. Clean out bedroom
  11. Clean the whole house
  12. Start reading 'A Feast With Crows' from the ASOIAF series
  13. Get calendars and diaries ready for the new year
  14. Learn at least 5 more words in Japanese
  15. Wash my car
  16. Have a hair cut

So 16 things I'd like to get done and achieve by the time 2015 rolls around! Most are doable, and others may take a little longer! And like last year, I'll cross these out when I do them!

Are there any things you would like to do before the new year hits in a matter of weeks? Hope you all have a great Wednesday and stay safe :)

One Direction FOUR Reactions

Hello everyone!

You may have heard that on the 17th of this month, One Direction's latest album, FOUR, came out. I bought my copy of iTunes and have been obsessively listening to the songs.  My fave ones have to be :

  • Stockholm Syndrome
  • No Control
  • Girl Almighty
  • Night Changes
  • Act My Age
I've had them blaring in my car on the way to work! The point of today's post is that I made a little post over on my tumblr the other day about my reactions to the songs, and it seems to have gained a little attention! So I've decided to share that post with you below!

Playboy Star Dust Eye Shadow Duo

Hello everyone!

I bought a load of things from Fragrance Direct a while ago, and this was one of the things in my basket. For £1.49 you can get the duo in three shades that are available, but I chose Star Dust as it's a neutral shade. As a big lover of the Playboy products, I knew I had to try this.

The colours are both very light, but they are really pigmented. They give a lovely covering and are really smooth and easy to apply. The best thing is that it even comes with a little brush to use. Originally retailing at £17.99, I think this is really a bargain for less that £2.

Have you tried any of the Playboy products? Let me know! Hope you have a great day and keep safe!

Natural Collection Rose Bud Lipstick

Hello everyone!

So I'm not a massive fan of lipsticks or lip products in general, but this is one that I won in a giveaway from Kirstie's A Yellow Brick Blog back in August. You can however pick it up for £1.99 at Boots! I've worn this once and swatched it so I can finally give it a quick review!

To start with, the packaging is pretty simple and white, with nothing but the logo on the side of the cap and a brief run down of the lipstick on the side and bottom sticker.

It's a lovely pink/red colour and doesn't dry the lips out as much as I'd have thought. It's not a great colour on me, but it looks like something that may need a few coats to work better. I only wore it for an hour, but it wore off a bit - again, likely due to me only putting a little on.

There are a lot of other shades available for this product, but I don't think it's for me. My mum however seemed to like it, so maybe she'll keep it! Do you like these lipsticks? Let me know below! Hope you have a great day and keep safe :)

My Makeup Storage | Part 2

Hello everyone!

A few weeks ago I posted part one of these two makeup storage ideas. Along with my storage three drawer stack and stationary holders for other little things, I also have a drawer in my desk for all my things.

Inside the drawer are a couple of makeup bags with things inside them, along with other random items and products I've not yet used and found a home for. So here is the contents of the drawer...

This is everything filled right in! As you can see there are a lot of boxes, products and a makeup bag or two.

At the back are some facial wipes and cotton buds that I rarely use. And on the right are a large amount of waxing strip boxes, makeup sponge wedges and two Real Techniques cases.

Makeup bag #1 - Here are all my small eyeshadow palettes, eye shadow sticks and hair bands/grips. I've used all of these mini quads and the MUA palette. The hair bands/grips are in little bags so they don't get lost and I can find what I'm after a lot quicker.

There are also two blushers, a liquid eyeliner, brow kit, volume powder and press on nails in the first makeup bag.
Bag #2 - Holds all my lip products. I've used and loved the lip stains for a year now. The Neon pink and dark red lippy lasted a few more days and then I threw them out a day or so after taking pictures!

Loose Products - Within the drawer I also have >
2 MR Palettes, Witch Moitsturiser, Garnier Primer, Havala Nail Dry, Rimmel Colour Palette, Elizabeth Arden Mascara, W7 Mascara, Lee Stafford Spray, Face Mask, Nivea sun protect, ROC sun protect, 17 Primer, Boots Eye Gel and a Tea Tree blemish stick.

So that's all that is within the drawer. It's a little full so I think I should clear it out and get rid of anything I've not used for more than six months or no longer like! How do you store your products? Hope you have a great day and keep safe :)

The 'Me Time' Tag!

Hello everyone!

Here is another tag that I've seen floating around this week! I found this on 'Keep Calm It's Only A Blog' by the lovely Lauren! This is another tag that I've not seen before, so here it goes!

What do you watch or read during your me-time?
I catch up on all my TV shows such as Scandal, Chicago Fire and Supernatual!

What do you wear during me-time? #NoBra
Totally random, but as I get hot easily, I lounge about in shorts and a tee with slippers! But a bra is my thing for all the day!

What are your me-time beauty products?
Concealer and mascara - along with a good face scrub

Current fave nail polish?
Rimmel Double Decker Bus

What do you like to eat/drink during me-time?
I drink smoothies, water or cola and I eat rainbow drops or Kettle Chips!

Current fave candle?
Flamingo Candle, Peach Fizz!

Do you ever have outdoor me-time?
Not really as I am much more of a bedroom person!

Would you ever go see a movie alone?
Nope. Noooo way.

Fave online shop?
Select or Ebay

Anything to add? What else do you do during me-time?
I also like to play on the Sims, do a bit of housework and write up blog posts. I'll do a bit of online shopping here and there or just find things for wishlists!

And of course, if you want to do this then please do! Let me know if you do it, as I'd love to read them! Hope you have a great day and keep safe :)

Lee Stafford Flat Iron Protection Shine Mist

Hello everyone!

Back in January, I wrote this post about my hair care, where I mentioned this beauty. This is the travel size version of a larger 200ml one that I've had for a year. It occurred to me that I'd not actually reviewed this product at all, so here it is at last!

Firstly, the 200ml retails at £5.99, while the 50ml one that is shown below, retails at £2.99. Other than the size difference, they are the exact same.

This is perfect if I want poker straight hair or curls. Granted my hair is naturally straight, but this helps to iron out any kinks or small saves that show up. I use some of this spray and then either straighten my hair with my straighteners or use my Remington Urban Curling tongs. This also makes me feel okay to use heat on my hair!

Have you tried this yourself, and did you like it? I know there are so many more amazing sounding products in the range, so I may have to get some more! Do you have anything from the range that I might like? Hope you have a great day and keep safe :)

Binky London Polish

Hello everyone!

Have you ever heard of Binky London Nails? Up until a few weeks ago, I hadn't! This was a free gift with one of my subscription boxes and I loved the bright colour at first sight. I believe the shade is just called 'Pink' but not 100% sure! Each of the polishes retail at £2.95 each, which is amazing considering the quality.

That colour on the nail wheel there? ONE COAT. It's so shiny and opaque already. It's such a bold colour on my nails as well, so I don't feel two coats are needed, unless you want to make it really, really bold.

There are a lot of other choices on the site too, and a whole host of colours that I am now very temped to splurge on! Do you own any products from this company, and what did you think? Hope you have a great day and keep safe :)
