Pantene Pro-V Instant Refresh Dry Shampoo | Review

Hello everyone!

I've been trying out some new dry shampoos recently as a 'pick me up' while staying at the boyfriend's house and this is the last of the four that I've tried out. This Pantene Pro-V Dry Shampoo Instant Refresh, is for all hair types and is meant to give a clean look and feel. This is the 180ml version and retails at £3.99 in Boots.

There isn't really much of a scent, and what you can smell doesn't last long which I'm not too fussed about. The nozzle is a standard spray device and allows a decent amount of product to come out. I found that I needed a few sprays here and there of this for my hair to look good again. It takes some working into the hair to work like most other dry shampoos, but it does what it says on the canister.

It's good for a quick root blaster, and for a quick overall clean if I'm going out. It made my hair look cleaner and left it feeling soft, which I am really happy about. Only downside is that it looked like it began to wear off after a few hours, so this would be something you may need to reapply a few times throughout the day. I would buy it again as it served a purpose that I got it for, BUT, it's still not managed to beat the Aussie Aussome Volume shampoo!

Have you tried this at all, and how did you find it? Let me know! Hope you have a great day and keep safe :)

Monthly Favourites #6 - September

Hello everyone!

It's time for another monthly faves! I'm still going with my method of keeping away from beauty things and do the little categories I've chosen below!!

Song
I got this song stuck in my head after Nicola played it for me on one of our night outs a few weeks ago! It's mega catchy and even better when really loud in the car!

Picture
My favourite picture from this month has to be this one of Cameron holding all the tickets I won in an arcade game! We had over 900 from one game after I accidentally hit the jackpot on it! I managed to get a cute candle holder and some sweets from it all!

TV Show
Cameron loves this show and is mega pissed it was cancelled all those years ago, and he's made me watch it. I've only done four episodes so far, and I am loving it and think it's amazing! Can't wait to finish it so we can watch the film!

Movie
There are only two maybe three films in existence that I love just as much at the Harry Potter series. And this is one of them. The Losers came out in 2010 and it's the film that made me fall in love with Chris Evans! It's also starring Zoe Saldana, Jeffery Dean Morgan, Idris Elba, Oscar Jaenada and Columbus Short (who follows me on twitter!). It's one of those films I could watch everyday and not get bored of and I can quote the whole thing. It's a total action film!!

Random Section
So for the random section, I've gone with this image of me and the best friend, Nicola, from our night out! We were sat on my drive in her car filming our internet show at the time and selfies happened!!

Hope you enjoyed these faves for September! What have you loved this month from each category? Let me know! Hope you have a great day and keep safe!

Maple Holistics | Review and International Giveaway!

Hello everyone!

Sorry I've not posted in a while, I've got a new job and it's taking all of my free time up!! Will explain more about this in a later post :) Today however, I need to draw your attention to a pretty awesome USA based brand called Maple Holistics.

As I live in the UK, I'd not heard of this brand before until the lovely Rachel contacted me about some products and a chance for a giveaway for you all, so you can try some of their products too! I looked at their website - www.mapleholistics.com/ - and there are so many awesome products on offer, and they each have their own benefits. The brand has one goal in mind: 'To provide a natural, holistic range of premium products which can enhance hygiene, health and daily living.' - Isn't that a pretty good goal to follow??

Rachel kindly sent me two of their hair care products - a shampoo and conditioner. I chose the Dandruff Sage Shampoo* and the Winter Blend Conditioner*.

Dandruff Sage Shampoo* $17.95

First off, the bottle is so pretty! As you might know, I love purple! This is the 8oz version, but also comes in a 16oz bottle too. The bottle has a small flip lid so you can squeeze the product out and it smells so good, and reminds me of being in a hair salon. On the bottle it states you should use a small amount of product on wet hair and leave for a few minutes before rinsing.

I found that the product was quite thick, which compared to my other thinner shampoos, I couldn't tell how much I would need - I have lots of hair! I done just over double of how much was recommended on the bottle, and found this worked well for me. Considering I'd spent the day before at work with a hat on all day, my hair was in need of a good wash, so I hoped this would work. It was easy to work into the hair and began to foam up quite quickly which I was happy with. I only left it in my hair for about a minute before rinsing, but I could feel my hair felt cleaner already.

Winter Blend Conditioner* $13.95

The bottle is again beautiful, such a nice shade of blue! This is again, the 8oz version, but also comes in a 16oz bottle. It also has a small flip lid so you can squeeze the product out and it smells so minty due to the five mint varieties in the formula, giving it a really cool feeling when washing your hair. This didn't have any 'instructions' like the Sage Shampoo, so I used it as normal!

I found that the smell of this is twice as good when using it! I love the smell of mint anyway, and it's nice for the scent to linger on the hair even after washing it back off. The combination of sage and mint from both products is a little weird, but after a while all I could smell was the mint when it was dry.

My hair feels so soft and light after using both of these, and I'm very tempted to order some for myself in bigger versions as I know I'll use these up pretty quickly!! I'd like to try the Winter Blend Shampoo as well with this conditioner to see how minty I'll smell afterwards :)

**All of this is thanks to Maple Holistics and their blogger connections are being sponsored by edumuch.com, as well as the giveaway campaign you can find at the bottom of this post :) So go check them out!
