Cornwall Holiday Diary, Day Six

Hello everyone!

Day Six: Today we headed off to Flambards for the second time, due to having a free returns within 7 days ticket! It was scorching hot weather, but had been muggy all morning so we went in jeans and jumpers. Oops. The jumpers soon came off. The log flume cooled me and Ash down for a while and we done a lot more here than we did the first time.

You can watch the vlog for this day HERE.

OOTD with Captain America! We all went out in jeans as it was raining. Get to Flambards and it was boiling hot weather! | Took this picture of the log flume from on top of the rollercoaster!
Dad and Grandad on the cyclecopters | Me and the sister in the funny mirrors!
Not quite a healthy lunch | Ash and Dad playing air hockey!
Me on the carousel | My delicious dinner at the White House
Today was such a great day with the weather eventually, just wished we would have known that and worn shorts and it was far too hot for jeans! The dinner at the White House was the best of the holiday... so we went back a second time! Hope you liked this holiday post and have a great day :)

Peggy Sage, Tropical Rose Review

Hello everyone!

In my You Beauty box this month I chose to have a Peggy Sage polish as one my two options and I've finally given it a try to review it! The polish is from the Peggy Sage summer collection and in the colour of 'Tropical Rose'. It is a shimmery polish and looks better with two coats as opposed to just the one.

It looks great on my colour wheel. I didn't however like it so much when I used it on my actual nails. I'm not sure if it is the shade of pink that doesn't work, or maybe it is the colour vs my tan. Either way, I didn't like this at all. It lasted a grand total of 18 hours on my fingers before I removed it. It looks great on the wheel with it's shimmery tendencies, but on me? Just no. It kinda reminded me of some of the nail colours I've seen on my older female customers at work. Not a fan, so doubt I will be re-using it!

Have you tried any of the Peggy Sage polishes and what did you think of them? Am I being crazy or is it not a nice colour to start with? Hope you have a great day and keep safe :)

Cornwall Holiday Diary, Day Five

Hello everyone!

Day Five: Today we headed off to Crealy Adventure Park, which is one of the theme parks nearby! This is about a ten minute drive away, so thankfully it's pretty close. The weather was okay, but not great so we didn't do a lot of the rides, mainly so we could do them on our second trip (as you get free return within 7 days!) It turned out to be a really nice day and we had a lot of fun!

You can watch the vlog for this day HERE.

OOTD! | Cornwall's Crealy was our destination for the day!
Morgawr rollercoaster sign | Dad on one of the horse rides!
Tuna baguette for lunch, followed by a strawberry cornetto!
Playing down in the Swapbusters part of the park
Dad and Ash having a game of badminton | Went to the beach in the evening with these two!
Crealy was a really nice day, but the weather wasn't as hot as it had been in past days! We got our ticket validated for a 7 day free return, so look out for the second day soon! Hope you enjoyed this post from the holiday and have a great day :)

The Disney Question Tag!

Hello everyone!

I've seen this Disney Tag circulating for a while now and nobody seems to tag anyone, but seems to be a free for all! So here I am with my answers to the tag questions!

  1. Which scene do you you wish you could experience?
    • I would love to have been in the 'I've Got A Dream' scene from Tangled. It was so energetic and the song was damn catchy! I've seen the film once (a sin I know!) but I loved it and was dancing in my seat to it! Plus the bit with the guy and the two little unicorn toys makes me laugh like crazy!
  2. The first time you went to a Disney park?
    • 2001
    • I first went in February 2001 with my Mum, Dad and sister! I was 9 and don't remember a lot of it, a part from vague memories which are of meeting Mickey mouse, the Journey to Atlantis ride and watching Shamu. My second trip was April 2013 and I loved it!
  3. Your best memory of a Disney park?
    • The memory from 2001 was getting to meet Mickey Mouse and having a picture with him along with his autograph! I thought it was the best moment of my life! And the memory from 2013 is either meeting Rapunzel or just seeing Cinderella's castle for the first time in Magic Kingdom. I remember getting chills at the sight of it!
  4. A Disney song that reminds you of being at Disney?
    • It will have to be the entire 20 minutes of Fantasmic! We saw this on our first day in the evening and I was just in awe at the show. I filmed a load of it and keep watching it just to hear the songs! Other than that, It's a Small World is a classic song for Disney World!
  5. A non-Disney song that reminds you of being at Disney?
  6. The Disney character you would like as a best friend?
    • If you had asked me this pre-2013, I'd have said Mulan, and as much as I would love her as a buddy, I now go with another. Rapunzel! Tangled is just such a great film and even though I've seen it once, compared to billions of times of watching Mulan - Rapunzel is so much like me anyway with her clumsyness and general behaviour, we would get along great!
  7. What is the first Disney film you remember watching?
    • I want to say Little Mermaid, but honestly as a child me and my sister were more Barney the Dinosaur and Power Rangers people than Disney. I got into Disney when I was about 10/11 years old! I definitely remember watching Aladdin a number of times when we were in Orlando!
  8. Fave Disney Princess?
    • Mulan. Though she is classed as a Disney Princess, could I find any Mulan merch in the Disney parks? NOPE. Tell a lie, I found one doll with a head the size of a bowling bowl and it was terrifying. Why as a Princess, does she not have merch! ARGH!! But if not Mulan, then Rapunzel obviously!
  9. A scene from a Disney film that makes you cry?
    • SPOILERS! - Tangled, Flynn gets stabbed and Rapunzel's hair gets chopped off. Oh my heck. I was staring in horror at the TV screen (my sister has pictures of this moment) and I look mortified. He was stabbed and her magical hair was then chopped off. Traumatized.
  10. A Disney film that will make you feel better, no matter how bad your mood is?
    • If I say Mulan again, will this get repetitive?
  11. Fave Disney film?
    • Tangled. I need to see it again, as I actually only saw it for the first time in January this yeah - yes shocking I know. I've yet to even see Frozen. I have so many to catch up with, but Tangled is my current fave and I don't think that will change for a long time!
  12. Fave Disney/Pixar film?
    • I believe Toy Story and Monsters Inc. come under this category? If so, Toy Story trilogy is an all round amazing film and concept idea. Did not cry when Andy gave his toys away. Did not. And I saw Monsters Inc the first time a few months ago and thought it was hilarious, but nothing beats the original!
  13. Fave Disney song?

So there you have it, my Disney tag answers! i hope you enjoyed this and if you did, I tag you to take part and let me know if you do it. Or if you have done this already, let me know in the comments below and I would love to read yours! Hope you have a great day and keep safe :)

Cornwall Holiday Diary, Day Four

Hello everyone!

Day Four: Today we headed off to Hidden Valley Discovery park, about an hour away from our campsite. Here there is a 'Forbidden Mansion' to explore and find clues, a train ride, a Hobbit House, plus two adventure trails where you walk around the entire site, finding things! There is also a small building called the Vault, which I can only describe as a set of tasks from Crystal Maze!

You can watch the vlog for this day HERE.

My OOTD and rocking my Capt tee | The new entrance of Hidden Valley!
The newest attraction at Hidden Valley - the Forbidden Mansion! Oh the little passageways we sent my 82 year old Granddad down!!
One of the rooms in the Forbidden Mansion! Had a good giggle in here!
The sign for the Vault | A large cherry bakewell I had for a snack!
Me and the sister on the mini train | Off to see Frodo!!

The two adventure trails at the site. Indiana is easiest and Sherlock is hardest! Can't share much more in case the clues haven't changed yet!
A pre-dinner game of badminton with dad | Steak dinner at the Jolly Roger!
We all think today was our best day of the holiday as Hidden Valley kept us busy up until 2:30pm (we'd got there at 10am) and had been walking around doing everything non-stop for the majority of the day out! Hope you enjoyed this and keep safe :)

Cornwall Holiday Diary, Day Three

Hello everyone!

Day Three: Today we headed off to the Classic Air Force museum, followed by a shopping trip to Newquay! The weather was horrid to start with, but managed to get pretty sunny and warm as the day went on! The museum was mainly for my Dad and Grandad's entertainment, though it was interesting in places - aka the simulator! Then in Newquay I spent far too much in Superdrug and Boots!

You can watch the vlog for this day HERE.

This is so helpful having this! Was needed for when I was sorting my car details out! | One of the many planes they had in the hanger.
A truck used in Penzance | Ash discovered there was good internet here. She was on Skype!
Each of us had a go in the cockpit of a fighter jet! Was pretty squashed up!

We got to board both of these and have a look inside. On the left is a plane that carried fuel, so it could refuel other  planes while flying. On the right is a passenger plane that is no longer in service, due to it being incredibly loud when taking off.
Finally getting to try the Black Diamond milkshakes in Kayes in Newquay. Oh it was deliscious!
Had to take a picture of my Grandad's Cow Pie dinner. He somehow ate the whole lot. | My tuna jacket potato dinner and salad!

Hope this was semi interesting as I know planes are not for everyone! Don't forget to check out the vlog for today and I hope you enjoyed this! Have a great day and keep safe :)

Wilkinson Bath Foam & Shower Gel

Hello everyone!

My mum isn't really into the beauty scene and with bath products, she knows what she likes. The other day she gave me these which had been given as a gift to her, as she didn't want to waste them. I took them happily and oh the scents! The bath foam is orange and pomelo and the shower gel is strawberry and pomegranate. Both smell like the actual fruits. Heaven.

I can't tell you the prices as I don't know them, but I'm guessing they can't be much more than £2 each. I would definitely buy these myself for the smell alone. Each leaves the skin feeling soft and smelling wonderful! have you tried these before and if yes, did you like them as well? And side note, this is post #250 on my blog, how amazing is that!?! Hope you have a great day and keep safe :)

Disney Makeover | Elsa

Hello everyone!

I've recently had an influx of love for Disney, probably started by me planning a Disney World holiday in three years! I've had a lot of time spare recently, so have been watching some of the movies and listening to the soundtracks. This is also the last installment of these Disney Makeovers for a while! I'll be going through other movies and characters soon!

Week Thirteen:

Hope that you like this installment of my Disney Makeovers! This is the last of the Disney makeover for the time being as this is now all of the official Princesses done! I am planning on doing other characters along with those in the Disney/Pixar brand :) Hope you have a great day and keep safe :)
