American Sweets UK Review

It all started with me watching Catfish on MTV, and suddenly really wanting some Junior Mints. I didn't have any in the house, so I began looking online, and stumbled upon American Sweets UK. They have a pretty large range of all sweets, chocolates, cookies, drinks, and other assorted goods.

Plus they had my Junior Mints.

I ended up picking a load of things out for my basket, and this is just a little haul to show you some of the things they have on offer!

Everything I purchased is listed below:

  • Wrigleys - Winterfresh Chewing Gum - 5 Piece £0.45
  • Trident Gum Perfect Peppermint 14pc £1.49
  • Trident Gum Bubblegum 14pc £1.49
  • Wrigley's - Alert Caffeine Gum Mint Flavour - 8-Piece (Sugar-Free) £2.99
  • Trident Spearmint Gum 14pc £1.49
  • Tic Tac Gum Freshmint 0.95oz - 56 Pieces £1.19
  • Junior Mints Theatre Box 3.5oz (99g) £1.99
  • Espeez - Money Mints Roll 0.405oz (11.5g) - SINGLE £0.20
  • Tic Tac Wintergreen Flavour - Big Pack £1.09
  • Life Savers Pep-o-Mint Roll 0.84oz (24g) £0.89
  • Jolly Rancher Sour Surge - 1.5oz (42g) £1.19
  • Wonka Nerds Rainbow Theatre Box 5oz (141.7g) £1.99
  • Sour Patch Extreme 1.8oz (51g) £0.99
  • Warheads - Sour Chewy Cubes Theater Box 4oz (113g) £1.89
  • Meiji Yan Yan Strawberry Biscuit Snack 57g £1.19
  • Chips Ahoy Chewy Mini Bag 3oz (85g) £1.49
  • Meiji Yan Yan Vanilla Biscuit Snack 57g £1.19

Along with shipping, this came to just under £27.

From the top image, I've tried the Jolly Ranchers and Warheads for the first time... Can't say I'm a fan. They taste very artificial and plastic, that it's very off putting when eating them! I gave the Nerds to my sister as she's loved these for years, and the Sour Patch Kids were shared out between the three of us, as we all like them.

I've not yet tried the cookies from the middle image, but I think they'll be amazing, as I was hooked on the Chips Ahoy thins while I was in Florida! I gave the Meiji biscuits to my sister and her boyfriend, as they both love this brand, so I buy it for them whenever I spot it.

As you can see, the mints section was my biggest purchase. I am a mint fanatic, so I like to try our different ones to see what I like. I was also sent two samples of the Grenades chewing gum, and so far - delicious! The Tic Tac gum is a new experience for me, and is actually really nice. However, the Wintergreen Tic Tac mints are an odd taste, and remind me of the mouthwash the Dentist gives you!

I'm hoping next time I have a look at their site, they'll have Cheetos and Dove chocolates on there, as we all loved them in Florida, and would love to be able to get them here without the chronic import charges.

Do you like any of the above selection? If you've tried American Candies before, let me know what your faves are so I can give them a try next time! Hope you have a great day and keep safe :)

  1. Ooh, I will have to remember this site. Seeing your Chips Ahoy brought back memories of me having them as a teenager.. I don't think they were chewy though, just regular. Now I want cookies.

    1. It's such a good site, but their stock goes really quickly, so have to be fast to grab things. Junior Mints remind me of my Florida holidays, so they're a must buy! XX

  2. We used to get cravings for sour patch kids, especially when we went to the cinema or walgreens! We didn't actually have many sweets to be honest, most of the time it would be the different cookies we'd go for or the array of mnm's!! They have so many different kinds! :)

    Lucy and Kelly xx

    1. I honestly couldn't believe how many M&M's there were! I'm sadly allergic to them so couldn't try them, but Dad tells me they were all lovely! I'm hooked on the sour patch kids and junior mints again, so there's my sugar craving for the month! xx
