Monthly Favourites #28 - August

How is August over so freaking fast? I swear it was April not two weeks ago! Summer is practically over, and the British weather has been on and off so much, I don't feel like we had much of a summer season this year! My 25th birthday is in less than two weeks, so I have a lot of good things in September to look forward to - so lets look at the faves from August! 

Song

I've been addicted to this song all month. There's something about the melody and beat of it that I am obsessed with. The first day I bought it, I'd listened to it nearly 70 times during the day. I found the video a week ago, and though it's super weird and odd for Maroon 5, it's such a good song!

My favourite picture from this month is of recent Harley Quinn comic book haul! I've bought about 30 comic books in the past month, and most have featured my fave Gotham City Siren. I'm finally all caught up with her story, including the awesome 25th anniversary edition!

TV Show
I am back in love with SATC. I usually turn to this when I'm having any kind of drama in my life - as Carrie has it so much worse than me 😂 I've almost made it to middle of season 6, so I'm not doing too bad with watching this of an evening. I will always love this show, even though it's not a genre I usually go for! Samantha is my fave, so who is yours?

Movie
I've not watched many films this month as I've been re-watching SATC, but the one film I have watched was The Losers. This is my all time fave movie, and one that I've watched 30+ times this year alone. It's from 2010, and is the movie that kick started my obsession with Chris Evans and Zoe Saldana. Columbus Short, who plays Pooch, actually follows me on twitter, which is still baffling to me! The film is a good action, with some comedy added in - an all round perfect movie for me!

Tiana | Disney Inspired Lookbook

PS4 Game Collection

At the end of May, I jumped on the gaming bandwagon, and finally bought myself a PS4. I've been wanting one for a few years now - mainly so I could use it for Netflix! After an unusually good month with my spending, I treated myself to it. I ended up getting a package deal of the LEGO: Star Wars game, Blu-Ray movie of the same film, and the console/controller in the bundle. Not bad for £280 from Amazon!

I also purchased LEGO Jurassic World at the time, as I am majorly in love with the LEGO games, which I usually play on Steam.

A few weeks later, I then picked up Assassin's Creed Syndicate, which I've actually played a lot of before, but I wanted my own version! The most recent edition to my collection is the Guardians of the Galaxy Telltale game.

I've had a go on all of these so far, except Guardians, which I'm going to try and play sometime after my holiday! I'm trying to get Jurassic Park finished right now.

Jurassic World is so fun to play, and even though I'm only as far as the third film on the game right now, I'm loving it! The Star Wars game is a little harder to control than Jurassic World, so I've only played a few chapters of that one - might try it again later this week. Syndicate is the first PS4 game I ever played, and it's got such a fun story to it, so I'm excited to finish it off at some point!

Reasons I Won't Match With You On A Dating Site

So a couple of weeks ago, I mentioned that I was back on dating sites again. I'd mentioned how I was finding it so far, along with a few things I'd noticed over the course of my time on them. Well it's been a little over a month now since going back on the site and well... Interesting doesn't quite describe it.

With Badoo, the matching feature involves swiping yes or no on people's profile pictures. All you get to see is their name, age and job title, along with their main profile picture. You can swipe left for no, or right for yes. Or if you want to know more before picking, you can swipe their details up and see all of their profile. This includes their 'about me' and their interests, plus their general location.

So what makes me swipe no on a guy, or choose to pick no after they've said yes to me and started a conversation? Well there are a few things straight away that I will say no!

• Only one profile picture
• No about me section
• Over the age of 38
• Smoker
• Under the age of 23
• You send me a dick pic
• You tell me my 'tits are amazing'
• You tell me that 'I have porn star tits' < this has happened 4 times so far...
• You obviously haven't ready any of my profile
• You ask for nudes
• We live too far apart
• Have a username instead of actual name on your profile
• You send me 100's of messages before I even get a chance to see your profile
• If it's obvious you're just after a hook up
• Has children my age - yes this has happened already!
• Empty profile other than a picture and name
• Unnecessarily aggressive when I don't reply with 'I know I am,' when told I'm good looking 
• Calls me a 'bitch' for taking too long to reply

These are most of the reasons I won't match with you, and a lot of these things have already led to me blocking/reporting a dozen or so people. Some have been particularly aggressive!
