No Shame in Gaming*

On a scale of one to ten, how bored are you in your office right now? Sure there’s plenty of work you should be doing but that’s not really the point. You just need to make those last few hours fly past before you’re finally released and sent home, only to have to return again tomorrow.

In this blog, we’re looking at some of the very best browser-launched games that you can play at your desk. The beauty of browser games is that they can be minimised at a moment’s notice, so get your fingers at the ready for gaming that will make that boredom fly away.

Money Spinners
Not for everyone but if you’re into taking risks then some online gambling is certainly going to inject a little spark of interest into a long Wednesday afternoon.

Choose from the plethora of bingo sites that offer minimal investment for low payouts or play slots online and experience the thrill of a casino-style setting.

Snow Line
Remember how excited you were about Christmas as a kid? Well this game puts you back in touch with the big jolly man himself in this frustrating challenge.

Help guide Santa and his sleigh down a twisty mountain collecting presents on the way. You’ll draw lines to help guide him, but don’t make them too step or he’ll shoot forwards and crash and how will you explain that to all the good boys and girls?

Type Racer
Want to look like you’re getting stuck into typing out a meaty document, when you’re really putting your typing skills to the test? This is the genius of this game. You are a car, racing against other online players to type out a passage.

Fastest typer wins so perhaps practice first on the document you should be working on. Okay, perhaps not.

QWOP
If you can master this game, you’re a genius. It’s tough, so tough you’ll probably give up. You control a runner using the above keys. Sounds simple but the QW keys control his thighs and the OP his calves. Get them in the right sequence and he can run like the wind, get it wrong and it looks like he’s drunk too much. Impossibly addictive.

You really should be working, after all those spreadsheets aren’t going to write themselves. The daily grind can take its toll though and spending a few minutes (alright hours) every week on some mindless distraction, can’t cause too much damage.

Pit your wits against runners who require extraordinary coordination to even make it over the start line. Don your best elf outfit and help Santa complete his yearly mission or put those typing skills to the test and play against fellow slackers from all over the world.

If you’re not planning on having to change job just yet then, whatever you do, don’t get caught. Put the hours in so you can work hard in order to play even harder and remember: the minimiser button is your friend.

3 Easy To Use Apps That Make You Money*

It may seem a little far fetched and possibly unbelievable however it really is possible to make money or earn prizes from apps on your phone. Some only take a few minutes at a time whereas others are a little bit of a routine, but if you’re looking for a little extra cash these could be what you’re looking for.

Most of the apps that are available can be used whenever you have a few minutes spare, regardless of where you are. Other apps can only be used to their full potential in certain circumstances as you go about your everyday life.

Job Spotter
This is a fairly new concept but it is definitely one to get involved with. Do you ever find yourself noticing job adverts in the local shop window or adverts for seasonal staff even though you’re not looking? Well, you can now put that the to use and make yourself a little bit of money at the same time. Job Spotter pays users to take photos of job adverts in windows and then the creators of the app use them to update platforms such as indeed.com. The people who are looking for work can look for them online. You can expect to earn from five to a hundred and fifty points per advert that you capture and submit, depending on its originality (how useful it is). You can then exchange these for things such as Amazon vouchers. It has been known to be one of the highest paying apps.

Coin Pop
Coin Pop is an app that rewards its users with a points system for downloading and playing games on their smartphone. If you're someone who enjoys things such as free slots no download and no registration, Candy Crush, Clash of Clans or Runescape then you will get on with this app. With already 95k+ users it’s something that anyone who spends time gaming on their mobile could get into and make a little bit of money at the same time. This app definitely isn’t going to make you rich however if you're going to playing games anyway then you may as well play ones that will contribute towards your points. You can then redeem into vouchers or through PayPal.

Swagbucks
Swagbucks pays users for completing tasks they'd probably already be doing on the internet. Much like Coin Pop, you earn points (Swagbucks) however it’s now by making web searches, watching videos or completing surveys. There is also has a special cashback site that rewards you in Swagbucks rather than cash.  One of the easiest ways to make money with Swagbucks is it have it as your default web search browser as you can earn cash from just your normal online searches. If you’re looking to complete the surveys bear in mind you won't always be accepted as you often have to fit into a particular demographic. Again you’re not going to become rich from signing up to this but if you spend a lot of time online then it could be a good idea to have it as a small cash flow to top you up.

These are just three of the apps that are available there are also ones such as Roamler, Clexsense, and Toluna just to name a few. Have a look around and see what others you can find or do you already use cash building apps? Please share your findings or tips in the comments section below.

Things To Consider When Trying To Be Debt Free*

When people hear the term “bankruptcy” it scares and stresses out people.  What will my life look like if I must file for bankruptcy and will I ever be able to recover from it? However, in addition to simply saving money, there are other solutions that you could try before having to finalize on bankruptcy.

One measure that many are considering these days is to consider a debt consolidation loan.  It can be very overwhelming to see bill after bill arrive in your mailbox. You see that it is all adding up to more than you make each month and panic sets in.  If you decide to consider a debt consolidation, you will have the opportunity to roll all those bills into one payment a month.

Some companies will even negotiate with your creditors to reduce the debt that you owe, thus getting you out of debt quicker and with extra money in your pocket.  One of the downsides, however, is that your credit score will take a hit and will take some time to build back up. But, in the here and now, you will be able to breathe a sigh of relief that you have some control over your finances back in order.

If you are considering debt consolidation, let’s take a look at some of the advantages of participating in this type of program.

Keep Your Possessions
One of the biggest fears that people have when they are running into financial debt is that they are going to lose their home or have their car repossessed.  This is an added stress that is not healthy for anyone.

With a debt consolidated loan, it will free up some money each month for you.  This can allow you the flexibility to make sure that home and car payments are made each month.  You will also be cut off from any credit cards that you roll into your consolidated loan, thus preventing you from continuing to needlessly spend.

Those Dreaded Credit Card Interest Rates
While paying your minimum payment each month may seem reasonable, the amount of interest that you are being charged on your remaining debt in many cases exceeds what the minimum amount due each month is.  This, now, leaves you in a situation where you are still losing money each month, making it nearly impossible to pay it off

The average balance on credit cards today exceeds $8,000.  And, imagine having that on more than one card. Now, consider that most credit cards between 20-25% on a single credit card.  Paying the minimum on cards of that price point will really make it impossible to pay off.

Having a consolidated debt loan, all the cards would be rolled into that one account with a significantly lower interest rate, thus allowing you pay it off in a few years as opposed to 20 plus years.

Student Loans
Another major life struggle that people have is the payment of student loans.  Another issue is that many people want to go back to school and can’t afford the cost of tuition.  Having a consolidated loan allows people the luxury of doing this. The cost for the student tuition could be rolled into a consolidated loan or a student consolidated loan.

This once again gives you the opportunity to afford this opportunity and not pay astronomical payments each month.  It will be controlled and give you the peace of mind knowing that you can attend school, work, and live comfortably.

Personal Counseling
Many debt consolidated programs offer counseling to help you figure out a financial plan that works best for you.  They can help to review all of your bills and look at how much income is coming in each month. The counselors can help to set you up with a budget that you could follow to get the debt paid off as soon as possible.

Many of the counselors also have relationships with people’s debtors, so they are able to discuss ways to negotiate a price that can be fair to both parties.  Their ability to structure a deal can help you get out this hole in months, as opposed to years.

Thinking of the Future
By having late payments, missed payments, potential bankruptcy, or lawsuits against you, your ability to purchase items such as homes or cars in the future will get denied.  They will be able to check every source of credit that you have and what your payment schedule looked like. If they notice a consistent pattern of poor credit decisions, you will have no chance at any larger purchases until you have proven you can keep everything in control.

This can be a very long and drawn out process that you may not have the time or financial means to sustain it.  With having a debt consolidation program, you will be expected to make certain payments each month and, as long as you are keeping up with those payments, creditors will be able to see that you have gained some control on your finances.

You will still take a credit hit and may still need to take time to wait it out a bit, but that time will very much be diminished than taking the alternative route.  Take time to sort out your bills, see what you owe each month, how much you take in, and then look for a debt consolidated program like secured debt consolidation from Evolution money.  They have counselors available to discuss any and questions you may have.

Regardless of what avenue you take, there are solutions out there to help you.  You will need to alter your lifestyle a bit and avoid these common getting out of debt mistakes.  With a lot of patience and determination, you can soon be debt free.

Good Bet For a Top Night Out*

Pub crawls are overrated, weekends abroad too expensive and a quiet night in, just plain unacceptable. If you’re looking for somewhere different to go on your girls’ night out or hen do, then it’s time to hit the blackjack table, Las Vegas style, without needing your passport.

It’s not just about the gambling, it’s about the atmosphere, the chance to dress up and just do something different.
Chances are you’ll have a casino in the city you live in, or be able to find one a short distance away. If you’ve never hit the tables before, we bring you a beginner’s guide to casinos.

Set Your Expectations
While it might be a great dream to break the house and walk away with a life-changing sum of money, it’s not going to happy. Casinos work because they make the house a lot of money and the odds are never on your side. Sure, there’s always a bit of luck but that’s really about it. Don’t expect to win, don’t set your expectations too high and don’t take it too seriously.

The very first thing you should do is set your limit. Only gamble what you can afford to use, so leave the credit card at home and work in cash. When you’re out, you’re out, no hard feelings. If you do find yourself up at any point, that’s the time to walk away from the table and head over to the buffet. It’s romantic to put it all on that final spin of the roulette wheel, but you’ll almost certainly blow the lot.

Different Games
If you’ve gambled online before on sites such as 888 live casino, you’ll have some idea how the different games work. You’ve got your fairly straightforward slot machines to the card tables and then the famous roulette. Have a look around the room and get an idea of how each game works before you pick a table to join.

In general, games that involve a little skill, for example Blackjack, will have you lose money more slowly and may even allow you a little back. If you’ve had a little practice, pick one of these to start with and see how you get on. If you’re looking to play for fun then the slot machines and games like keno are more up your street, low stake and low payout with little skill involved. They’re just there for fun.

All blogs about gambling come with some kind of warning and this is no different. It’s worth repeating that you’re going to lose money so don’t gamble more than you’re prepared to lose and leave your credit card at home.
For a night out though, the glamour, the cocktails and the buzz of winning against the house makes for a great night and something different from the local pub. Get dressed up, hope luck is on your side and see if you can make a killing. Whether you’re planning a hen party or just feel like treating your friends, hit the tables with swagger and style.
